Representatives from 21 Member National Authorities (MNAs) gathered during the CAC games in Punta Salinas for the COCECAVE General Assembly. One of the meeting's most significant outcomes was the unanimous approval of the organization's new name, CAC Sailing, reflecting a modern identity and a continued commitment to growing the sport throughout the region.

Delegates also elected a new Executive Committee to lead the organization into its next chapter. Sigrid Beckman (Mexico) was elected President, Graham Castillo (Puerto Rico) was elected Vice President, Juan Augusto Araujo Arenas (Venezuela) was elected Secretary, and Megan Littlefield (Virgin Islands) and Guillermo Gasperi (Panama) were elected as members.

The Assembly recognized the service of outgoing President Boris J. Corujo (Puerto Rico), along with former Board members Karl James (Antigua) and Irina Pérez Leroux (Dominican Republic). Pérez Leroux continues to serve the region as the World Sailing Council Member for Group O.

Also in attendance were World Sailing Vice President Beatriz Gonzalez Luna (Mexico) and World Sailing Vice President Tomasz Chamera (Poland), highlighting World Sailing's support for the region during this important meeting.

With new leadership elected and the organization's transition to CAC Sailing officially approved, the General Assembly marked the beginning of an exciting new era for sailing across Central America and the Caribbean.
